MLSA, the undergraduate chapter of the Black Student Organization (BSO), and the William & Mary Chapter of the NAACP will celebrate Black History Month with “The Law Touched Our Hearts,” a program in which professors will speak on their experiences with school desegregation after the landmark Supreme Court decision of Brown v. Board of Education.

Based on the essays they contributed to the 2009 book of the same name, Dean Douglas, Professor Paul Marcus, Professor Linda Malone, and Professor Larry Palmer, will speak.  A reception will follow the program and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase autographed copies of the book.  This event is open to the public.
